Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia

Namib-Naukluft National Park is an ecological preserve in Namibia's
vast Namib Desert. Coastal winds create the tallest sand dunes in the
world here, with some dunes reaching 980 feet (300 meters) in height.

This image was acquired by Landsat 7's Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus
sensor on August 12, 2000. This is a false-color composite image made
using near infrared, green, and blue wavelengths. The image has also
been sharpened using the sensor's panchromatic band.
